Sign up for early access to new releases

(Margaret Rosas) #1

At Looker we roll releases every month. If you are excited about the new features, you can sign up to get them earlier in the cycle. All features become available to play with on Next as they are being developed.

If you see features that interest you, we encourage you to try them out on Next so you can give us feedback as they are being developed and request to be early in the release to take advantage of the features as soon as they become available.

SIGN UP here for early access to our releases.

For anyone else who stumbles across this old thread or wonders why they stopped receiving “Early Access” emails, I got the following explanation from Looker Support:

We stopped using the special group for managing Early Access membership and instead, manage everything based on Looker license type + any emails flagged as a Technical Contact on either your Looker-hosted instance or self-hosted instances (on-premise).

If you add your email address there (on the main Admin > Settings page) you should start getting the Early Access emails again.

For anyone stumbling on to this thread, please know that our Early Access program is still alive and well! We’ve additionally just rolled out a neat little instance called Next where you can play with things before they make it into official releases. Read more about that here.

The post above references a transition from Early Access group management tools that resulted in a slight change in who got emails; you shouldn’t need to worry about it if you signed up for Early Access in or after July 2017.
