I have a dimension column( say for products) and quite a few pivots & measures. Hence when I scroll right , I loose sight of the dimension column. Is there a way I can freeze the column?
Hi @ssoutty68, this is not possible quite yet, but can definitely make a mention of this feature to the product team!
oh, ok! Yea, that would be nice. Any other alternative?
at the moment, the best option would be breaking up the report into smaller pieces! @ssoutty68
ok, Thank you Allegra.
@allegra @Katie_Gillespie any update here??? C'mon it's just freezing panes this has to be super easy and it's so important for us to get into Looker. Don't make us download to Excel
I've no solid timeline for you yet on freezing columns but I'll chat to product team on it for you!
Hi, Any news on this? It would be a life changer to be able to freeze panes!!
@abenya our product team are working on some changes to the results table, including the ability to freeze panes. It's currently scheduled for the first half of 2018 but that is always subject to change. I'll let them know it's a feature you're interested in.
@rufus any update on when frozen columns will be released? This has become a real problem in adoption of Looker for my organization. As Phil insinuated, this is a basic feature that should be prioritized by the Looker product team.
Hi Ian - This is a feature that the product team is considering, but we have no timeline at this stage for its implementation - I will happily let our team know the importance of this feature for your organisation.
Also want to vote on this feature. Very important. Earlier you indicated the first half of 2018. Any chance that is still on the cards?
This feature is most certainly still in the cards-- We aim to get this accomplished this year and realize it's something lots of users would love to see! I still can't give a precise timeline, but know that we haven't forgotten about it and it's still very much on our radar.
Any updates with this? It would be incredibly beneficial to so many of us to have this feature.
I can't speak to specific timelines but the feature is on the product team's radar and I'll be sure to pass your feedback along!
