Files don't display with IDE Folders Toggle off

I’ve got 20 Projects. Most projects don’t have folders. In only 1 of my 20 projects (which does not have folders), if I have IDE Folders Toggle ON, none of the files in the project appear in the IDE. All the views show up as explores, so I can get to the LookML via the Explore, but there is no way to get to other files with IDE Folders Toggle ON.

Any guess as what is wrong with this one project? It’s my most complicated project with 50 views, a manifest, documentation, a dashboard, a locale strings file and one model. I’m pretty sure this issue was introduced with Looker 7.0. I imagine I could add folders to fix it, but perhaps we should find out what is wrong before I go and fix it?

By accident, I believe I discovered the culprit - the strings file. When I went to validate I was told it was deprecated. I wasn’t using it anyway - it was there just for testing. So, removed it and now my files show up.
