API Token Timeout

The token returned by the login API seems to expire by default at 3600 (seconds I assume). Is this an idle timeout or not ? Is there anyway to influence this value ?

It is not an idle timeout, rather a set expiration that starts ticking at generation. There isn’t currently a way to influence that value— But I’m curious to hear what your use case/business context for wanting to extend it is.

The use case is a process that monitors the state of a job checking for the status getting state updates as it moves through to completion. Idle timeouts are not really a thing due to security concerns I guess. It seems fairly common to expect a client to re-establish a token from time to time…security vs convenience I guess…at any rate you can consider this closed…
